Seth Penney
I am considering buying an SGC 10 Feraligatr 5/111 1st edition Neo Genesis, but SGC isn't my favorite grading company ever. Does CGC allow crossover from SGC? Or do I have to crack the slab and then submit the card?
Administrator CGC Mike Posted September 6, 2022 Administrator Share Posted September 6, 2022 Hello We only do crossovers from these 2 companies. Although, we could crack it out for you if you don't feel comfortable doing so. You would have to treat it like a raw card when submitting. CrossOver (Also select a grading tier) A card in a PSA or Beckett holder is evaluated for CGC Trading Cards certification. Select an appropriate grading tier based on the card’s fair market value and your desired turnaround time. If the card does not cross, the full grading fee will still apply. Sub-Grades: If the card has been assigned sub-grades by the other grading service, it will be removed from its holder and encapsulated by CGC Trading Cards only if all of the sub-grades will be the same or higher with CGC Trading Cards. Cross at Any Grade: If you would like your PSA or Beckett-holdered card certified by CGC Trading Cards even if CGC Trading Cards determines that it will receive a lower grade, specify CROSS AT ANY GRADE. Seth Penney
@CGC Mike So I would submit the card as a raw card in the slab and CGC would crack the slab for me, but I wouldn't be able to select a minimum grade? Thanks for your help!

Thanks for your help! That is correct. There is no charge for us to crack it out but, you would need to sign a consent to remove form.

Hi Mike, is it possible to send in card in PSA 10 holder to CGC via the Crossover with CGC 10 as the minimum grade? Thanks!

Thanks! Yes. Be sure to select a grading tier. Keep in mind, you will still be charged if the card does not cross as a CGC 10 (unless you specify cross at any grade).
