Mgc015
Please give me your thoughts on this. I think lower right front cover bend is biggest problem along with spine roll. Is CCS able to fix the spine roll? Thanks for your help.

marvelmaniac
Looking at your pics I am not certain that your issue is entirely "spine roll", it appears to be an "off center wrap". The pages are not really fanned to the degree the cover is off center and the centerfold shows the staples to be off center. If this were a spine roll the staples would still be centered at the centerfold but the pages would have fanned, IMO you have both an off center cover and a slight spine roll. Edge wear with color rubs, blunted corners with color rubs, 2" color breaking crease at lower right corner, cover/staples not centered, slightly fanned pages slightly discolored staples, small spots of color rub in the "black" by the spine, small dent/crease on the "M" and "E" in the price box, what appears to be a color breaking scratch through Spider-Mans right leg (runs from The Scorpions face to J.J.J.'s face) as seen in your second to last pic, slight foxing on rear cover. IMO, the book overall presents nicely, it is the color breaking crease at the lower right corner that keeps this book from grading higher. FN 6.0 - FN+ 6.5 7.0 FINE/VERY FINE (FN/VF): Back to Top An above-average copy that shows minor wear but is still relatively flat and clean with outstanding eye appeal. A small accumulation of minor bindery/printing defects is allowed. Minor cover wear beginning to show, possibly including minor creases. Corners may be blunted. Inks are generally bright with a moderate reduction in reflectivity. Stamped or inked arrival dates may be present. Minor foxing. The slightest spine roll may be present, as well as a possible moderate color break. Staples may show some discoloration. Slight staple tears and a small accumulation of light stress lines may be present. Slight rust migration. Paper is cream to tan. Centerfold is mostly secure. Minor interior tears at the margin may be present. 6.5 FINE+ (FN+): Back to Top Fits the criteria for Fine but with an additional virtue or small accumulation of virtues that improves the book's appearance by a perceptible amount. 6.0 FINE (FN): Back to Top An above-average copy that shows minor wear but is still relatively flat and clean with no significant creasing or other serious defects. Some accumulation of minor bindery/printing defects is allowed. Minor cover wear apparent, with minor to moderate creases. Inks show a significant reduction in reflectivity. Blunted corners are more common, as is minor staining, soiling, discoloration, and/or foxing. Stamped or inked arrival dates may be present. A minor spine roll is allowed. There can also be a 1/4" spine split or severe color break. Staples may show minor discoloration. Minor staple tears and a few slight stress lines may be present, as well as minor rust migration. Paper is tan to brown and fairly supple with no signs of brittleness. Minor interior tears at the margin may be present. Centerfold may be loose. mephistopheles
6.0 and it looks like someone might have pressed it without trying to fix the spine roll. I've seen the gurus on youtube get rid of these, but not sure I would trust CCS to do it. For me staples on the front instead of on the side are anathema. joeypost
As has already been stated, it is a back to front miswrap and not spine roll. Pressing will not “fix” this. It’s the way the book was manufactured. The issues a good pressing would fix is the small non-color breaking creases on the back cover. A good dry cleaning will also benefit the overall appearance of the book. The top edge has some wear and the right edge has a few color breaking crease some of them being substantial along the bottom corner. 6.0/6.5 is about right after pressing. grendelbo
Mgc015
Thanks everyone for the feedback. Learned the difference between miswrap and spine roll. Lot of knowledge out there. Thanks for sharing.
