I saw this oil painting in person, and it was remarkable!!! It actually wasn't much bigger than the magazine!!!

Late to the thread but RIP to a true genius. Spiderman 50 was one of the greatest covers ever IMHO.

Once again, the production stains are not as pronounced in person.

Along with the silver-age artistic founders Kirby and Ditko; Romita, Buscema and Colan round out my top-five Silver Age Marvel artists.

RIP Mr. Romita.
