It doesn't seem right that there would be all of that spine wear on the fake copy.

It might be that the scale being off between the two photos makes the margins look off. It could be that it is just trimmed extremely poorly.

That would be my guess.

Given the saturation of the colours and the super white and wavy edged pages I'm definitely in the 'fake' camp. The reproduction of the art wasn't perfectly controlled in terms of size, leading to the reduced margins, giving the impression of trimming. That does explain pretty much all the weird that's going on here.

A clever counterfeiter would add spine wear for sure to throw you off the scent but try to make it look like a pressable defect.  An even more clever scammer would just call it trimmed and build a good story around that...both earning the buyers trust and throwing them off the scent at the same time.

definitely trimmed and will be "caught" if submitted
