The back covers words are better than its cover. Who writes this stuff??? Lol

I think I read that Harlan Ellison wrote the blurbs on the early Nightstand Books (as well as writing the most famous and expensive Nightstand Book, "Sex Gang")

The Lottery    Shirley Jackson    Lion Books #14    1st PB edition        $70  SOLD to piper

One of the most reprinted and "analyzed in English classes" stories of the 20th century.

Classic Herman Bischoff Pulp GGA cover of Tessie Hutchinson collecting her lottery prize

I just barely upgraded from this copy recently. A very tough book in any kind of decent shape, I've never seen a VF

Fine.  Square and solid tight spine and pages tight and supple with light toning. Slight wave to bottom of book. Light creasing and traces of old tide line on the back. Despite these flaws it presents very well and this was the best I could find for a long time.

Revolt of the Triffids by  John Wyndham      Popular Library 411  1st PB    1952    $45   SOLD to mstrange

One of Earle K. Bergey's most famous paperback covers with headlights, aliens, great coloring, you name it. A cornerstone book.

Fine Plus. Deep colors, spine is solid, with a stress at the middle, pages tight, creamy and supple. Covers are glossy with light cover creasing and wear. A very collectible copy of one of the great Science Fiction paperbacks.
