***UPDATE*** Stolen Book in Las Vegas - Mad#1 3.5 - He strikes again - More books added 0

My regular shop had a CGC 3.5 graded Mad #1 stolen the other day.

No picture, but, the scumbag did try to sell it to another store.  So, there is that.

Well, the scumbag struck again.  He hit a few more stores.  Walked out with a box of graded books (pic to follow) from Cosmic Comics.  Tried to steal some books from Stunt Dog Comics, but, the owner packs and stopped him.  Heard he also hit Fire Force Comics and Action Comics, and possibly Velvet Underground Comics.  Guy seems to know books as he was tryinh to steal some high dollar books from Stunt Dog.

Pretty brazen! And in Las Vegas, theft of over $1200 is a felony - you do time for that, it's not a fine and supervision, even for a first offense. Hope they catch this creep fast.

Well, he is over $2900 now.  They do have some info on the guy, so, hopefully they get him.

Been to Cosmic comics. Bought a super world #2 off em'. Thats a really swell store with tons and tons of early back issues and GA too. Why the dirty 2 bit rat! He'll be in stir soon enough when the coppers nab em'. Hopefully they'll send em' to the chair

Yeah happens all over.  Rather lose a few items than one of the employees getting hurt or worse.

Well, they caught the guy.  He sold off most of the books, including the Mad #1.  Not sure who or where he sold it to.

Turns out this guy had prior felonies (go figure) and a couple of warrants.  They also busted him with a large amount of stolen sports trading cards and a bunch of high end purses.

He may be facing several years, so, that's a good thing.
