MAD Magazine #189, March 1977.  The back cover is supposed to be upside down, as near as I can tell. Lol

MAD Magazine #190, April 1977.

FN/VF; cream to off-white pages.  Complete, with no fold-in creases.  The front definitely shows light soiling around the edges, so I'm guessing the back does too...the darker background makes the soiling hard to see.

$5 SOLD

MAD Magazine #194, October 1977.  Yo, Adrian!!!

I have two copies of this issue.

FN; cream to off-white pages.  Complete, but both copies have fold-in creases on the back.  There is a mild spine roll on both as well.

Since both copies look about the same, I've only included scans of the first one.  I will provide scans of the second copy if requested. :)

$6 each BOTH SOLD

That's all I have from my dad's collection of the MAD regular series.  Now I'll start posting my part of the regular series that I purchased.

One thing to note: all the MAD's that I collected personally are bagged with a bigger board and bag.  I did this years ago...it was all I could find at the time.  The bags are mylar though, so that's good.  I don't have the smaller materials to rebag them.  That would be a waste of money anyway. :)

Here's what they look like......

Your Dad's collection looks a lot like mine Galen!   My off-the-rack era was mid- through late 70s.  Cool books, you're making me want to dig out my MAD box!  (thumbsu:cheers:

Wait until I get to my dad's Super Specials.  A lot of them still have the original inserts...some are even still attached!!! xD

Interesting story here...apparently there are a few issues of MAD around 1990/1991 that were only printed for troops during Desert Shield/Desert Storm, then handed out.  I was there...my first combat flying deployment.  I never new these 'Hussein' issues existed!!!  I wish I had them...they are rare.  Oh well...:sorry:

MAD Magazine #301, March 1991.

FN+; off-white pages.  Complete, but with fold-in creases.  I'm dinging the grades for my own part of this collection because of the fold-in creases.  I don't know how CGC would grade them, and I don't care.  These are my estimates. :)

$3 SOLD

MAD Magazine #326, March/April 1994.  Original subscription card is still attached.

VF/NM, or better; off-white pages.  Complete, with no fold-in creases.  I would give this one a NM- estimate immediately if not for the ink transfer on the front below the start of the letter 'M' in MAD. :(

$5

MAD Magazine #328, June 1994.  Original subscription card is still attached.

VF/NM, or better; off-white pages.  Complete, with no fold-in creases.  There are a handful of pressable finger bends/indentations on the covers...hence the lower grade estimate.

$5

I can't believe the outrageous prices some eBay sellers are asking for these Modern MAD's.  Who says comic speculation is cooling??!! :roflmao:

MAD Magazine #329, July/August 1994.  Original subscription card still attached.

VF/NM, or better; off-white pages.  Complete, with no fold-in creases.  This one is actually a nice copy, except for a few pressable spine creases on the back.

$5
