The Spiderverse is set to expand even further. Seth Rogen is currently working on writing an animated Spider-Man spinoff movie focused on Venom.

 

The movie would be running in parallel to the live-action Venom movies Sony has already been making, in much the same way Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse has with the Tom Holland Spider-Man movies. Best of all, unlike the Miles Morales animated Spider-Man movies, this Seth Rogen project will be rated R.

We'll see how real this is since the reporting source is Giant Freakin Robot. R-Rated is what this movie character should have been the entire time.

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion 100%. Seth Rogen has produced:

• Invincible
• The Boys
• Gen V
• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem
• Preacher (I enjoyed this)
• Superbad
• The 40-Year-Old Virgin
