Stepsons of Terra  by Robert Silverberg / A Man Called Destiny by Lan Wright     Ace Books     D-311    1958   $25

I wish I could be in three places at once, but only Jimbo can achieve that :)     Sweet Ed Emshwiller, Ed Valigursky cover art

A gem of a copy, square, glossy, unread, no reader creases and just a whiff of wear and WHITE pages, which is pretty rare on an Ace double. A few tiny spots on the page edges.

Stranger In A Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein Avon V-2056 1st Print   June 1962      $45  SOLD to Goldust40

Neil Boyle cover art.  1st paperback edition, 1st printing with no printing number information on the copyright page.

The 1962 Hugo award winner, Heinlein's most famous novel and maybe the most famous famous science fiction novel, period. Hard to find the first printing at all, let alone in nice condition. This book was passed around on campuses like a loose joint and suffers all the hardships of both fat volumes and black cover books.

Solid tight binding with slight lean. Strong colors. Light wear to the spine and edges. Small date in pen on first page.  A nice collectible copy of a scarce, thick paperback that is usually found creased and torn, you Grok?

Avon Fantasy Reader No. 2    Digest of Weird Tales stories edited by Donald A. Wollheim   1947    $50  SOLD to Goldust40

A great copy of this classic cover, likely by Tilburne, amalgamated from a Harry Clarke painting and a Belarski Pulp cover, then later swiped onto the cover of Avon's Eerie No. 10. Quite a journey of swipes.    Anthology with Howard, Endore, Pratt etc.

Square, glossy and tight with full lamination that is lifting in a few small spots but all intact. Appears unread with minor wear to the edges and tanning pages.  I recently just very slightly upgraded my #2 & #3 which i'm offering here.

Avon Fantasy Reader No. 3    Digest of Weird Tales stories edited by Donald A. Wollheim   1947    $50  SOLD to mstrange

Great demon cover, likely by Weird Tales artist Tilburne.  Anthology with Merritt, Moore, Lovecraft etc.

A very nice copy that appears unread with intact lamination. Light wear to the edges, pages tanning with some very slight uneveness at the back and a small indent on the top edge. Rarely seen this nice, it was my keeper for years.  If these were comic books they'd be crazy $

Portrait Of A Man With Red Hair by Hugh Walpole   Avon No. 204   1949    $25

Great title with awesome uncredited cover art of the madman menacing a good girl.

Appears unread, no reader crease. Has storage wear - light edgewear, a light crease on the back and a couple pages were folded down inside in the past.

lol  Us old school collectors all collect Lions avidly as they are like the Marvel Comics of pbs with the Martin Goodman connection, as well as tough as heck to find in decent shape.

That poor dude is such a simp (if that's how you spell the word the kids use these days).  These both have great colors.  Like the back cover designs, too.

No Holds Barred by Mike Weber  Playtime Books NO. 630    PBO, 1st printing  February 1963   $35  SOLD to mstrange

Another near perfect copy of a cool sleaze title with a real nice GGA cover, likely by Bonfils. Most of the Playtimes aren't signed but a few are and they all look like his girls.

NM/Mint - Sharp as a razor, super glossy and square. Unimprovable
