Seven Footprints To Satan by Abraham Merritt.   Avon (no number) 26  - HRN No. 40 on the back order form I believe makes this the 1st printing.  1943    $30

A classic early WWII period Avon that is tough in nice shape. Has a great piece of ephemera tucked inside, the original sales receipt for 26 cents (which would be 25 + 1 cent tax) from Gimbels Department store on 32nd Street and Broadway in New York City from January 22nd, 1944! 

A clean, tight book with a reader crease and a few light bends, white inside covers, toned pages.

Square and unread, has a light scrape, a touch of edgewaer and a stain to the lower right corner of the book that keeps the price down. Still a great looker.

Sweet GGA cover that is signed by cover artist Robert McGinnis on the title page. A particularly nice flowing signature on this one. These routinely go into three figures lately.

Square, clean, glossy copy with light wear, mostly along the spine edges.

Another tough Lion title to find in shape and sporting one of my favorite Bob Maguire covers of babes dancing in the forest

Square and tight, sharp corners, not a lot of handling wear to speak of. Has age wear, like crackling of the cover gloss and a bit of darkening of the whites.

Square solid and glossy with good color. Has a small tear at right cover edge and a tape pull on the back, pages toned.  A great JD book for $18
