I have an unopened copy of wizard magazine #38 with the uncut masterpiece cards inside. on the wolverine part of the card part of the marvel gold foil is missing. could this be an error when printed and does that make it worth less??picture attached for more detail.

I would call it an error and try to sell it for 10-20% more.

Of the hundreds of millions of cards produced for that set, you have one that is, if not unique, then very rare.   Now, all you have to do is to find someone willing to pay through his teeth for such a rare specimen.
