Hi!

Big day for me! I received my first grail-level book (personal grail, if not an official one) and I wanted to get someback regarding its grade.

The grader notes mention some light fingers bends and small creases...

  • Grader Notes
  • Front Cover Small Lite Bend
  • Left Top Back Cover Small Crease
  • Spine Stress Lines Breaks Color
  • Top Front Cover Small Tear Breaks Color

... and I was wondering whether you all think a clean/press might bump it up a bit? Maybe it's lucky to have gotten an 8.0.

Let me know what you think.

Cheers,

J

Hi and welcome to the CGC boards!

Please could you read the Usage Guidelines helpfully placed at the head of this section.

This section is for people seeking a grade on a raw comic. Your thread here, for your FF48 CGC 8.0 would be better suited in another section called Comic Book Grading and Restoration Issues.

There are some pressable defects which you photographed well,  However, I am not convinced that removing them will really change the grade due to the non-repairable damages on the book. I would lean toward leaving it as is!
