Been a while since I made room so I'm going to do it again - listing those books that have iconic covers, contents or both, plenty of Good Girls, some sleaze, and maybe the hinted at book, mag or pulp - let's see what I unearth. Plan to run through Labor Day and there will also be lots of lower dollar books that are fun in one way or other, including plenty of science fiction so keep checking back

I've been buying selling and trading Vintage pb's since the Hancer Price Guide came out back in the 80's. Been on Ebay since 1998 with 100% positive feedback.

I tend to grade paperbacks in the manner of current pulp grading: Poor/Fair/Good/Very Good/Fine/Very Fine

I'm a high grade collector so my books are almost all Very Good and better if they're available in those grades. Many pre-1960 books just aren't available in high grade often so I try to find solid Good-Very Good ones if I can.

The rules for this thread are:

-No HoS or Probation list buyers

-I will ship to Canada but will have to quote shipping options.

-Payment via Venmo or Paypal preferred. I also can do Zelle although it is a bit more of a pain to do.

-Shipping via USPS Media Mail for $5 or Priority Small Box for $11 for the continental United States. More than one book I will ship at the least extra cost practicable. Shipping for Canada will be quoted.

-First :takeit: in the thread wins and prevails over pm offers
-Returns accepted for 14 days after delivery but please let me know asap if you are unhappy for any reason and I will make it right. I do miss things occasionally.

Amazing McGinnis cover art. First one I've had for sale and it's super high grade

Near perfect copy. Square binding. Great colors and gloss. Virtually no wear. Has a couple tiny spots on page edges. A super copy.

Rare early Avon GGA digest in very nice shape for these. Unattributed but looks like Driben art.

A super looking copy with great color. Small bend upper right, small bindery chip, has slight foxing and the centerfold is detached although not ragged, just slightly protruding from the clean page edges. Staples are mostly clean with only a bit of rust. Hard to find clean copies like this of these early Avon digests.

GGA call girl cover. Crime/sleaze novel with Lesbian interest. Probably a Bonfils cover but not credited anywhere. Subject matter is pretty hot these days.

Square, glossy copy. Has light non color breaking creases on cover but a nice fresh copy overall.

Avon Fantasy Reader No. 1 1947 Digest of Weird Tales edited by Donald A. Wollheim 1947 ~~$30~~ SOLD to Goldust40

The first in this classic weird/horror digest line. Weird skull/ghouls cover art, reminiscent of Matt Fox. Clark Ashton Smith, H.G. Wells and A. Merritt are standouts.

Solid square copy with full paper spine, minor bindery chips. No creases, just a light bend to upper back left, minor edge and corner wear. Lamination is missing as is common on 99% of copies of this one. The lam fared much better on #2 and 3 although they discontinued it entirely after that. No. 1 is quite rare with intact lamination.

Presentable copy of an early classic, solid and tight binding - has light creasing, pages and inner covers are browning with some dog eared corners hanging on but still collectible.

Gorgeous Good Girl cover by Men's Adventure Magazine artist Stanley Borack in top shape.

Borack only did a few paperback covers that I know of.

Wild fantasy cover in the style of, and likely by, A.R.Tilburne. Anthology with Smith, Dunsany and early Ray Bradbury among others.

Super square and tight with great color, a little bit of foxing/discoloration in the "F" area. A very clean copy of the first non-laminated issue.

Very nice 2nd Arkham House collection of the great Weird Tales writers short stories. Frank Utpatel dust jacket art

I'll call it near fine in a near fine jacket in old bookman's terms. It appears unread - Binding has tiny bumps at top tips - a little bit of rubbing on the front cover and a bit more on the back. Jacket is un-clipped with bright color and a few tiny spots of wear. Overall very nice and bright copy.
