Classic Raymond Johnson cover art on a first edition noir collection from a top Black Mask writer. A top Avon from the "round circle" period

Square, tight, bright and super glossy. Great front cover, back has some light creasing. Pages are browning but not brittle or I'd be asking more.

Whistle Them Willing by Richard E. Geis     Playtime 673   PBO    1964    $40  SOLD to Comical Situations

Sweet Robert Bonfils GGA art on this sleazy classic. Geis was a famous Beatnik who wrote a lot of fan work in the 50's and 60's and eventually wrote novels, notably the rare "Like Crazy, Man!" for Newstand Library.

Pretty copy, appears unread with great color and gloss, no creases, a hint of foxing to the front (nit picking here) Cool and groovy!

Women's Barracks by Tereska Torres  Gold Medal 132     PBO  1st Printing     1950   $95  SOLD to Comical Situations

I don't have to write anything about this one, there's a dozen articles out there, but here's a little... First printing of the runaway bestseller that ensured Gold Medal's success as a paperback original publishing house in its early days. The fact that it involved Lesbian interest might have contributed to its success but the iconic Barye Phillips lingerie/GGA cover art probably didn't hurt

This copy is gorgeous, square bright and fresh with near perfect lamination, no creases. Has a tiny bindery chip at top spine and a slight uneveness to the front pages that looks factory because it is all tight and square. I'll probably regret selling it some day.
