Since Caps shield was Damaged he was going to sacrifice it to stop some Vibranium Wave. During a fight with Klaw he manages to stop the wave and he finds Klaw's Sonics fixed the shield.

ah yes, even though I haven't read the issue, I do remember thinking that was the one in which Cap's shield got "fixed". very nice!

It was one story that for Some reason stuck with me.

Plus the page where Cap see the Shield fixed and he stares down Klaw was a beaut
