Agreed, the Beast in question is the "Movie Beast" which is a totally new character designed only for the movie

Not at all. He expressed confusion at my foreheadslap.gif emoticon due to the changes from the base character design, which should be obvious to any comic fan.

 

For example, I understood and accepted why they got rid of the web-shooters in Spider-man and created a new "Movie Spider-man", but I also understood where they had deviated from the base character as well.
