I got this one in as part of a consignment lot today. Great looking copy, with a freakishly white cover. Upper left corner ding and some spine stress are the only flaws. Here is the kicker though, it looks like someone did a tiny color touch to the upper left. So, what grade would you all give, and what do you think a fair % of guide would be when I sell it?

It really pissses me off. That's the brightest white copy of that book I have ever seen.

7.0-7.5..leaning toward the higher grade just due to the general sharpness...can't be a VF IMO with that scrunched URBC and a few too many stress marks...

Ditto.GOD BLESS...

Which leads me to suspect the "whiteness" . . . as well as every other aspect of the book . . . confused-smiley-013.gif

Not really. Color touch doesn't get much more amateur than that. I am sure it was done by some kid with a green magic marker. The rest of the book is fine. I have seen enough cleaned covers to tell if that has been done. Had the color touch been done by a pro I would suspect the rest as well.

Or some insufficiently_thoughtful_person . . . 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

The book has obviously been dry-erased at a minimum . . . grin.gif

Sounds about right - it's a nice copy! tongue.gif

No way I would sell it for less than $100. confused-smiley-013.gif

My keen eyes also detect some trimming. Top edge and right edge look very suspicious to me.

You can't tell trimming from a scan. The book is fine other than the dot of amateur color touch...
