i just rec'd marnin rosenberg's catalog, am i the only one here? confused.gif893whatthe.gif893scratchchin-thumb.gifshy.gif

 

He had them at the Phlly show two weeks ago...And he had the books with him as well...I actually bought one from him....so much for that lame-arse story about how he would not sell any till the comencement date because of how he felt cheated when he was a collector, cause all the good books were sold behind closed doors....sniff...sniff...such a touching story.....

 

And after plunking down $300.00 for a book he gave me grief cause I wanted a copy of the catalog to take with me...

This is the same guy that cries about CGC in the recent OS 2003 guide, yet makes a killing selling slabbed books? No thanks?

I got that catalog today. I love it cloud9.gif

 

Lots of nice books (Edgar Church copies etc.) with good pictures printed on a high quality paper. I guess this is even comparable to Heritage catalogs? (this is a first catalog I ever got)

 

But the best thing is...it's FREE!!! Even shipping is free. It cost them $9.85 to ship this catalog to Finland so I have to say they take possible customers seriously.

Jeez...you got yours in Finland and I still didn't get one in Virginia yet....I'm glad I swiped one at the Philly show.....did buy a nice Boston collection Wonder Woman book from it though...he will wiggle on the price,...but not a lot.

Thanks, JD. Wow some of his prices are really good and some of them aren't. Are you sure he just wants 4,500 for an ASM 11 CGC 9.4? If so, I need to get ahold of the guy. !!

Some of these prices are great, and some aren't so good. Wonder how he arrived at them.

 

Also, how is Marnin's grading? If he says the ASM 11 is raw 9.4, is he likely to be right?

 

It's hard to tell from the size of the pics...but on all the cgc graded books he gives his grade/cgc grade.....amazingly his grade tends to be lower or even with cgc on most of the books...but hey........hindsight is a beautiful thing.
