Will you pay $79.95 for this book?

I've sold F/VF to VF type copies in the $7-$10 range, so it's not really a $5 book if you don't let it be.

 

looks like it could be 9.4 just from the front.

 

but $80 is silly time. If you trust his grading, $15-$20 isn't totally nuts if you really want it, but it seems like a slabbed 9.6 can be had for $50-$70, so if you're willing to pay $30, why not wait for the real thing and pay a little more?:

Certainly not for a 9.4. 9.8 or higher probably. But then What If Vol 1 is a favorite of mine.

If you're going to throw your money away like this . . . throw it around these boards first - you'll be much happier in the long run . . .

 

Guys - let's give him a taste of what he could spend $79.95 on . . .

 

 

Good way to put it in perspective. Save yourself about $75 and buy a nice raw one on EBay or at your local LCS.

I need What If (vol. 1) #1 for my full run, but there's no way I'd pay that much for it. You can get reader copies of most of vol. 1 for that kind of money.

I found a NM-/NM #1 copy today. In fact I have issues #1-5 all in that shape if there is any interest.

Back Cover has a slight crease (aaaarrrrghhh) so it is more like a VF/NM. Front cover is sharp.

As stated above, a book worth approximately $25 that I would not pay more than $10 dollars for...
