Anybody have any clue as to why the last ASM 58 CGC 9.4 sold for $1733 in NOV 2009? And the 2009 average for 3 books = $998. Is this book that difficult?

It's in the middle of the pack issues 1-100 as far as scarcest in 9.4 or better on the list I researched awhile back in this thread... (shrug)

 

It's a relatively tough book (no 9.8 copies at all) and it might have been a really nice 9.4 to boot.

 

Why, does someone need a 9.6?

Freshly back from CGC to start my ASM SA collection.

Nice book...I'm waiting for my copy also which is a 9.4 but with off-white to white pages. For some reason even with the white cover, this book is very difficult to locate in 9.8. hm
