Blue Label.. Restored..huh ?

32 posts in this topic

No. Read the back of any CGC label for a half-assed justification. CGC assigns blue labels to some restored Golden Age books. They think that restoration isn't restoration on books that are worth a lot of money and belong to influential people in the hobby that would take a beating if their entire collection were graded with a purple labels like it should be.

BTW, the label in this case is purple. Either the seller is trying to pull a fast one by playing with the color settings on his scanner and he's a scumbag rip-off artist "apparently". Or CGC has changed the rules.......again.

Purple.. Blue...Red.. Yellow. No matter what color you put on the label it is still does not detract from the fact that it is a sweet looking book albeit not very resaleable. smirk.gif

So this is an intentional effort by the seller to mis-represent the item?

Well, as Brian noted above, his purple labels come out as blue. Scanner effect? Possibly. But that seems less likely when his blue label scans seem to come out the proper shade of blue. Draw your own conclusions from that.

This seller also got the nod on the 'sellers who end auctions early' thread. mad.gif
