Stereo:

Tool - 10.000 days

is this as good as Opiate - which is KILLER, Undertow and Ænima?

Do you listen to APC as well? I have all the Tool albums, but haven't gotten around to Maynard's side projects yet.

I would rank them all in this order (best to worst)

Undertow

Lateralus

Ænima

10,000 Days

Opiate

Been a while since I have listened to some of them so I could be a little off. 10.000 Days has some good songs (love #2) but it could have been better.

You are missing some great stuff then. I listen to a lot of the songs everyday because they are on my work playlist.

Books on my shelf rotate on a semi-montly basis as I send them back to the states but currently:

The People of Paper by Salvador Plascencia

Only Revolutions by Mark Z. Danielewski

Cosmiccomics by Italo Calvino

Ink by Hal Duncan

The Complete Short Stories Vol. 2 by J.G. Ballard

Silk and Insight by Mishima Yukio

Between Equal Rights: A Marxist Theory of International Law by China Mieville

Soldier of Sidion by Gene Wolfe

In the Night Garden by Catherynne M. Valente

Un Lun Dun by China Mieville

Grey by Jon Armstrong

Hart and Boot and other stories by Tim Pratt

Those are the ones I have read in the last 30-45 (give or take) days or plan on reading in the next 30. I have tons more that's just slush and I don't plan on reading.

Right now I'm jamming to The Roots: Come Alive

In the car I listen to childrens nursury rhymes, and Laurie Berkner!

Ellen does like to headbang headbang.gif with me when I get my turn at the radio and we rock out for awhile. But then she informs me my time is over.

Aside from late night comic reading, I am reading "The Nasty Bits" by Anthony Bourdain, the wife is reading The Book Thief.

Greta bought me Claptons new album for Christmas. And the new Shins album is on the way for her.

I liked this thread the first time I started it, so I figure it's time to do it again.

That seems to be the theme in Comics General lately. smirk.gif

Stereo: I'm listening to every Led Zeppelin album starting from the beginning. A friend at work got me interested and burnt me some copies. I know a lot of the songs of course, but I never listened to the albums. I'm on their second album now. I've also been watching some videos of them on youtube.

Bookshelf: Just finished re-reading Going Postal by Terry Pratchett. This was the first book of his that my wife & I read in 2005. Since then we've read most of his Discworld books. Going Postal is still my favorite though, so my wife bought it for me for Christmas.
