OK, this one is an absolute 893censored-thumb.gif to get hold of in grade. 5 x 9.6s and none better in the census. GPA is close to the $200 mark. 893whatthe.gif

I spent 3 years at Mildenhall back in the 80's. Some of the best years of my life.

Bought all my comics there, they all had a little star stamp on them.

The shop was 'The Stars & Stripes', yes?

I think the bookstore on EVERY overseas US military base is called "The Stars & Stripes". gossip.gif

 

Many a happy hour during my childhood was spent in a Stars & Stripes. cloud9.gif Actually, as a young officer too, but I couldn't let my troops seeing me geek out over a bunch of comics, so I would just quickly and quietly grab them off the rack, pay for them and take them home. 27_laughing.gif

Ironic isn't it, that in certain contexts, comic books have to be treated as if they were skin mags! 27_laughing.gif Come to think of it, if I were buying skin mags in front of a bunch of soldiers, there would've been no need to hide them. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

Sorry if I missed these initially. I haven't been keeping up with the whole thread.

Both these books are likely to be in the collection somewhere (and given the grades we've seen so far, 9.4s or better are not out of the question), but with there being 40+ boxes involved, and none of them in any sort of order, I have no idea when they might surface. sorry.gif

I dont have near that many boxes, but all of them are in alpha order and sorted by title. Plus, they are all in the same type bag and board.

I dont have near that many boxes, but all of them are in alpha order and sorted by title. Plus, they are all in the same type bag and board.

 

Here's the breakdown...

 

10 x Alpha sorted boxes of comics I take to shows

15 x Alpha sorted boxes of my main collection

15 x Boxes of my main collection not sorted whatsoever. Though I have an idea of what is in what box. Finding a comic takes a little looking but not as long as you'd imagine.
