rockman2008
Congratulations, rockman. Thank you, BZ. Always enjoy your puzzles. The first Fawcett image was tricky because it's just a color blotch representing something (in the context of the cover, an underwater trail of blood). Forgot what the coloring process was called but it was an expensive technique executed at the engraving plant where colors were added without black and white line drawings. Some publishers like Timely (under skinflint Martin Goodman) rarely used it. Others like Fawcett and Street and Smith used this painterly effect to produce some of the most sophisticated covers of the Golden Age.

BangZoom
It's my pleasure. I still remember a couple of years ago when you identified Pep Comics #3 from a tiny image I posted. I was so impressed with that.

BB-Gun
Found a couple of very cool fanzines at the Baltimore Comic Con yesterday. Thanks to Mike Goldman for these Batmania #4 Batmania #13 Those are great fanzines. I didn't discover them until posted at GA.UK a few years ago. Biljo was such a big Batman fan, he picked up a complete collection way back when it was cheap but impossible to find. His art was fun to see too. He did a good job of duplicating Shelly's style but made it flow like Robinson. Oh, I tried to order Batmania back in the sixties but usually was too late due to limited print runs. BangZoom
Nice pickup. I love those old fanzines and saved quite a few from those old days. I'll try digging them out from my stack of boxes and posting a few. I remember having the complete run of Xero (1960-1963) which I purchased from the Mcgeehan brothers and some other good stuff. BangZoom
I actually looked at Slam Bang in thumbnails, but didn't catch it. Me too Better luck next time. Last night I pulled out five comics for my next Pop Quiz. One of them features a character that I know Bill likes and the other is one that includes a character that I know Jeff likes. I'll try to post them tonight but if I can't get to it this evening, I'll do it tomorrow.

Scrooge
Looks like you had great luck at the show. I was able to get in for a few hours Saturday. Being local means regular life pulls you away from the show (mass, 3-yr old b-day party, ...) but I was still able to go and this pick-up is the most memorable. Everything else (and not much at that) were hole-fillers. NBM's Tarzan volume there for scale. Pics are always tricky in the dark basement
