Did anyone Fiddle on Sunday while Ebay burned?

But the collectors who remember those characters are getting older and don't

collect anymore, finished their collections and/or are dying off (sad but true), so

the books value stagnates and can even start to go down.

Probably the best recent example of this is Whiz #1. Even into the late 80s this

book guided and sold for more than Detective #27. I happen to think this book is

roadkill. It is probably the worst high-end investment comic you could buy. The

people who love Cap. Marvel are old and no more.

Awesome post, Zilla. It doesn't take too much imagination to fast forward into the

future and see the fortune of other more recent books turn for the worse as the current

generation of collectors ages, finishes their collections and/or dies off. A lot of the

old mainstays (like the FF) just aren't winning over the current generation of fans.

But who's the wise guy who gave me a one-star rating today?

I just gave you a 5-star rating to balance out the scales. wink.gif

I've attracted a ton of 1-star ratings...doesn't pay to go against the herd on

this Board if you want to win a popularity contest. Thankfully, I've had

some high votes from closet supporters to get me to 2 stars.
