That Wonder Woman 205 looks lesbian in so many ways. She's strapped against her will by evil men to a phallic symbol poised to destroy a city. And what does she yell on the way down? "Sufferin Sappho!" Sappho is the historical figure that the word "lesbian" came from; she wrote poetry describing her love for women and she lived on the island of Lesbos, hence the word "lesbian."

 

I find it difficult to believe this wasn't intentional by the author. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

OK - not a DC but found this panel in that Perfect Crime 18 (you know, the "Your dope peddling days are over, Cokey!" and "Drop that knife you hopped-up rat!" pre-code crime book.

 

Now once you read the text I bet more than one guy in here is gonna cross his legs! grin.gif
