IIRC, Stephen Fishler mentioned in an earlier thread that the Spidey image on #300 is a recolored stat of the same image from #301.

 

The #301 image was drawn first and is full pen and ink. Then a 301 stat was created & re-inked for the cover of #300. It is basically a inked stat done by McFarlane.
