You know some of the EC stuff is pretty freaky (in a fun way). I guess it is hard to scare someone when your medium of conveyance lacks the ability for someone to pop out and go boo! Never the less there have been some great horror book over the years.

 

Its wasn't horror, but frightening and affected me deeply - the EC story, I think called "The Mob" about the guy who wouldn't salute the troops in the Vet parade, and the crowd turns on him and beats him down - he turns out to be a Vet who was paralyzed and couldn't salute - great cautionary tale on mob psychology.
