Signature Confirmation vs Delivery Confirmation

I hate the USPS. OK! Hate is bad, it will lead to the dark side. I strongly dislike the USPS. The first package they lost had a copy of New Mutants #3 in a 9.8. It was sent to me under the delivery confirmation service. It was never delivered, not to me anyway. It was my first bad e-bay experience. My second (and hopefully last) non-delivered delivery was for two more books, both a 9.8 from my favorite series, this time from the signature series. Once again the USPS said they delivered, and they didn?t.

Now every time I place an order I make sure that I ask for all deliveries to have signature required. At times the order was sent under delivery confirmed only. Since both come with a tracking number I watch the progress through the online tracking capabilities service. I will call my local post office if an order of mine slipped through without the signature required and let them know I will pick it up. Sure it is more of a hassle and slightly a bit more money but I feel the peace of mind I get with it is worth it.

I do have a regular postal worker. She will at least look out for the packaged I missed and leave notice that they need a signature. Unfortunately she is also the one who said she delivered a previous package. I know those comic books will never be back. They are gone and I believe they are part of some postal worker?s collection and not lost. I have one customer who says that they will one day make their way back to me and I keep telling him that will never happen, but as long as he keeps tipping me, I?ll just buy another one, and ask for a signature.

Thanks for Reading
