Asking to Buy

What is the etiquette?

It was common to trade baseball cards when I was growing up, normally a one for one trade. We didn?t care how much they were, we only cared who are favorite players were. Besides, the gum was the best. In 1980 the Philadelphia Phillies won the World Series, the next year I wanted all the Philadelphia Phillies cards, unfortunately so did everyone else.

Of course baseball cards were sold by packs and you would have no idea what you got until you opened them. I put away my cards in a green metal index card holder. The doubles are what I traded away. Eventually I started to collect comic books. There were no doubles (until Rom #72). I knew exactly what it was that I would be picking up, one cover; one story; one book. Of course with all the variant covers today you can?t say the same thing. I never traded comic books, if I wanted something I didn?t have I?d have to go out and buy it.

Now these books are graded. Some of them only have one available. Does Bagofleas have the right to ask me for the New Mutants #47 I have since currently it is the only one. Then with that thought process can I ask Hitman1099 for him to sell the ?New Mutants? issue #?s I don?t have. Trust me I have thought about it. I just don?t wish to insult him. I realize the worse that he could do is say no, but what is the etiquette?

Thanks for Reading
