Reaching another Milestone

I have four more comic books coming my way. Three are for my collection and the fourth is to be a decorative gift for my best friends (soon to be) game room. I still use the books I get him for my registry points. These four will put me directly over (if only slightly) the 10,000 mark. Currently I am at 9900, unless of course there is an immediate point change due to any new algorithms. The most recent one that I had changed (without me doing anything) was my New Mutants #98 in a 9.6.Mmy next best chance would be the X-men books I have, but either way 10,000 points is an achievement to me.

As I started to register my books I added the main one I was collecting. There are still a few I have that I didn?t put on the registry. This was done for a couple reasons. The first one is the points for these books are dismal. I really don?t want to start a set with Spider-Man #1 poly-bag edition with a Universal 9.0 for only 15 points and the second reason is I don?t plan on keeping them.

Then there are the others I have that don?t have a set available (X-Infernus). Of course once these sets are created I will add them to the registry. I was overjoyed when they added the New Mutants (2009) as a set. Points are not the issue for my main collecting perposes since I am only chipping away 25 points at a time. When I finally get a high grade Daredevil #7 the points will catapult me even higher in the standings (not to mention the more affordable issues between #158 and #191) but until then I am happy with my rank and that I?m approaching 10,000.
