We need a journal so I'm posting one...

OK so apparently Tnerb has been indisposed as of late as I have not seen a journal from him, or anyone else for that matter, in a few days. The way I see it, it's better to listen to my ramblings than to nothing at all.

As you may know, I recently sold by Wolverine #1-#10 CGC collection and my ASM #129. Honestly, I just wasn't attached to them any more so I figure someone else can enjoy them for awhile. I made a good chunk of change in the process and picked up a few nice CGC books, but I also surprised myself and spent a good amount putting together a reader copy (4.0-8.0) run of Bronze Age Avengers, issues #112-#180 to be exact. I already have reader copies of Avengers #88-#111 and had only intended to add issues #167-#176 (and Thor Annual #6) for the Korvac Saga, but figured why not collect all the issues in between. (You completests out there know what I mean.) Turns out these are some GREAT stories! This is a good reminder of why I started collecting comics in the first place. I can't wait to spend the next couple months looking through every old newspaper scented issue. :)

I also picked up an X-men series from 1999-2000 written and drawn by John Byrne called "X-men: The Hidden Years" (#1-#22). It sells really well on eBay and its John Byrne so I figure it?s gotta be good. This series chronicles what happened between X-MEN #66 and GIANT-SIZE X-MEN #1. Wait, isn't that the time period that has become the focus of my CGC collection? Yes, yes it is. OK kids, time for bed, daddy's got some reading to do!

Til next time...
