All X-men appearances...

My goal is to collect first print high grade CGC copies of all X-men (and X-villain) appearances outside of their own title pre-1980, preferably starting with those appearances made before the new X-men team began. What can I say, I love seeing the X-men show up as guest stars in other Marvel titles, and I would love to have the best such collection ever assembled!

The plan for the books I'd still like to add is to try and find the highest grade copies I can afford raw, submit them to CGC myself, wait for an eternity to get them back, and be happy with the ensuing grades received...unless they come back with anything other than a blue label- those will not be added to the collection.

There are some books I only want if they're NM+ so for those I'll want to find graded copies, but the rest I will pick up raw unless I find a really smokin deal on something. Paying for all graded copies is just too cost prohibitive and I'll have to accept that not every book I have can be a 9.6. But I'm good with that, these books will still look fantastic in my collection regardless, and I can always do what I see a lot of other collectors doing and that's upgrade when I can.
