Auction ends in 2 days...
So there's this book I'm looking at on eBay that'll likely go for a couple hundred which is about what I would be willing to pay. The book is ungraded but looks very clean and I would love to add it to my collection. The problem again is that it's ungraded. I asked the seller if there was any restoration done as I would want to send to CCG and would only be happy with a Universal blue label. He said there was none he was aware of, BUT he did not guarantee this.
This is an older book and I would really rather not pay for an already graded copy. I don't mind taking a chance that I'll get a lower grade with a raw copy, like if the seller said it was an 8.0 and it came back a 6.0, but I'm hesitant to jump in when it may come back with the dreaded purple label.
What do you guys think?
