I feel like Oliver Twist with this set.

Where the heck are they??

When I was growing up I was always a far bigger fan of Marvel comics over DC comics. There were only a few characters or series of DC comics that I ever had any real interest in. My top ranked CGC collection of the original Booster Gold series shows that he was one of them.

But another one was the 1983 Vigilante series. I cant really explain why this is the case. I just really liked the Adrian Chase character and the story lines he was involved in. There were 50 issues and 2 annuals published. Thats 52 issues total. But when it comes to CGC graded copies its slim pickins.

How many different issues have EVER been graded?

16. Thats all.

And even worse how many of those issues have achieved 9.8 status?

Just 12! That sucks! For example my #23 is the only 9.8 copy out there.

This is a series that I would just love to eventually put a full 9.8 graded set together of. But since it is not a highly sought after series it seems like an impossible fairy tale.

I have been extremely lucky in being able to acquire 5 of the issues in 9.8 including BOTH annuals. In fact when I recently got annual #2 (see pic below) it wasnt even listed in the set category. I had to get Gemma to add it which she quickly did. Thanks Gemma.

I cant begin to explain how ecstatic I was to see this thing show up for auction. It didnt wind up costing me much at all and I was over the moon to get it.

Without something to successfully spur on increased interest in this character I will probably never finish this set....... but it wont stop me from trying.

PLEASE GIVE ME MORE!!!!!!!!
