Read this...

Okay. I'll be quick. My LCS guy is kinda standoffish and wasn't there yesterday. So I walked around looking at some back issues and came across an X-Men 141 with no price on it. I asked the other guy how much? He said, "hold on, let me call the owner."

It looked rough, but hey, I wanted it. The guy gets off the phone and says, "Yeah, that one is $75." I said, "no thanks."

I looked at a girl standing beside the counter (your typical comic lurker) and said, "what would you grade this book, I'm not buying it but just for fun I'm going to write down a number and see what you think."

She looked and after a minute said, "probably fine, around a 5.0 grade." I turned over my number and had written 5.5. No big deal. I bought on on eBay last night for $30 and it looks better than the on in the LCS. Just a quick rant for you boardies...
