I chose wisely...

So with every few days I get on Facetime, Apples version of Skype, and talk to my wife about our kids, bills, how much we miss each other and some personal not for Journal conversations.

While doing this she asked me if I had ever gotten around to finishing up my submissions for any of the Con's I had wanted to send some stuff to Desert Winds for and I told her no as while I was on leave last time I just never could get around to having time to do so. Conversation goes in another direction for a few and then somehow she circles back and says "well according to Desert Winds they have a bunch of Con's coming up, do you want me to find some things and send them?"

Wait what? This is what I come back with... I have no idea where to go with this conversation. So I ask her if she can be careful with them and she informs me that since I've taken a liking to comics she by extension has to like them as well. So at first all I can think of is aaahhhh honey. Then she ruins it. "That way we can sell them for some money later on and I can get a new purse or something..."

Couldn't stop laughing at her for this comment. Anyways while I may not be able to make it to ECCC for the Con itself my books will. We picked out a total of 15 and here's the list by type.

If your keeping count that's 13. Now I need to contact Neal Adams's son Jason again and see if his father can do another commission and if Desert Winds would be willing to pick this up for me. If they are willing to do this then I will actually try for 15 as I am wanting to send him to AvX blanks and have him head sketch a Cyclops on one and a Captain America on another.

So back to the wife, she looked for each, which wasn't hard as I'm meticulous in keeping things alphabetized as well as in numerical order, placed them in four boxes with some cardboard and is planning to take them to my LCS to ensure she packs it right and safely.

Awesome, like I said in the beginning I chose wisely.
