Or Hoping for a 9.6, expecting a 9.4, and getting a
Warning Profanity AheadMy ASM #129 is Amazing, my #127 is no less so. Both of them gave me a stabilized corner to try to get a run of issues starting at #119 and ending at #129, the catch was they all had to be under CGC's signature banner and a 9.6. I saw a 9.6 ASM #128 on eBay before I left for ECCC but figured there was no way I could get it delivered before I left. I decided it would be one of the books I would diligently search for. All the books I found were outrageously priced for what I thought the condition was. The one I settled on was the cheapest and best for the value. I purchased the book from Comics to Astonish for $20.That night I pressed it. I did exactly as I was shown and gave it a flatter appearance hoping for a 9.6. And as much as I hoped it would get a 9.6 I was expecting a 9.4. At working day eleven the book was scheduled for grading (22-Mar-13:Friday) and by Monday (25-Mar-13) was in grading. I expected another few days, maybe Wednesday or Thursday for it to be shipped and to find out the grade. I didn't have to wait that long, my book is shipped and the grade was posted on the 26th,13 days in.I looked and thought...F#?K! 9.2, a lousy 9.2 (it's not lousy). I so wanted a 9.6, I was steadfast for a 9.4, but the 9.2 through me for a loop. Did I do something wrong? Did I over look a flaw? Did I expect too much or damage the book beyond what it originally was. Or is pressing just an illusion? I do have proof it works, my ASM #129 can attest to that. Even my New Mutants Annual #4 can attest to that. Thanks for ReadingTnerbPs. Remember, my ASM #129 started as a 9.2... The story will continue.
