To CGC or not to CGC, you know the rest.

I have a few questions again. Does anybody here still purchase books with a signature on it if it is not graded? If not, is it because of the uncertainty of its authenticity or is it more about value? If you do, how much value does the signature add or for that matter does it add any monetary value at all or rather does it just add to the desirability of the book? Finally, if you do buy unslabbed signatures would you rather have it on a less known or less key book compared to a first appearance or such?
