One Point Behind

Or I could strike now.

I started adding my books I had graded from Wizard World Philadelphia. The first time I tried the books were ineligible for their appropriate spots. I only tried my New Mutants #1. J figured if that one was denied, they all would be, including the signature series books signed by Bob McLeod.

Normally I'll get an email stating it was accepted but this was not the case this time. I let the time lapse for the registry awards and finally decided to add them today. I am now only one point behind Bagofleas in the New Mutants registry, not only with first place in striking distance but mine for the taking if I submit my 9.6 SS copies if issue 58 and annual 4. But since Bagofleas started his set before I started mine he decided he was only going to list 9.8 with white pages or better, could I do no less?

There are certain semantics because if you look at my issue sixty-two it has off-white to white pages, but since it is signed I consider it better than a 9.8 WP. I do hope one day to fix that. Even my issue sixteen has the same page color distinction, but this one is signed by Sal Buscema. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to have him sign a book. It was a year wait and I have three more waiting for the opportunity.

Over the next few weeks I hope to fix my sets. To clean up any doubles that might be adding to my total registry points. I was thinking of deleting sets and starting from scratch but the notoriety I would lose and those small little icons would be gone. The New Mutants is the bulk of my points and I'm currently on the shy side of 30,000. Isn't that something to celebrate?

Thanks for Reading

Ps, the following is an excerpt from a closed file I found on Bagofleas

File and Case #421-40

Subject no longer answers to his given name and will only respond to either Bagofleas or "Master and Surveyor of all given things above and below the Earth". The latter was actually shortened from its original title when he had to ask to go to the bathroom and was trained to go after a positive reply and his chosen name. The guards decided against using Bagofleas when the subject simulated the STD symptoms of crabs on numerous guards. Occasionally a mwahahaha could be heard. This occasionally caused undue duress and soiled linens. Eventually a cease fire was called between Sgt. Casper O'Reilly and Bagofleas for the only reason that Bagofleas liked the Sgt.'s name. This also lead to Operation: Little Dot.

This is what I was able to find so far. I'm looking into Operation: Little Dot now. More on this as I find it comes to light.
