I have had this book for some time and just realized that there was a Bronze Age DC Number One Set that I could add it to
Laurel and Hardy easily one of the most popular double acts of all time. Best known for their slapstick comedy, they became well know during the 1920's to the mid 40's.
The pair made more than 100 short films together before expanding into feature length films in the 1930's. Stan passed away in 1965 and Oliver in 1957 but I remember so many evenings and even Saturday Mornings being entertained by their hilarious antics.
The pair had an Academy Award to add to their credit for the short (1932) film Babes in Toyland.
With Stan's catchphrase "Well, here's another fine mess you gotten me into!" being highly recognized and used often in their films.
It's hard to believe that these guys were working in show business as early as 1921 and both had numerous short movie credits to their name before putting their act together.
If you haven't seen any of their movies, I suggest you take the time to check out some of their material. These guys were in my opinion Great Actors and truly Masters of Their Craft.
Enjoy
