A TALE OF 3 DEALERS AND SIX COMICS.

I've been wanting to leave some feedback for quite some time on how well my dealer grades compared to their cgc grades.

This is not a judgement on their grading skills but rather just a posting of how things turned out.

I'm a repeat customer many times over of the three dealers on this latest submission. Here they are.

The first comic on my invoice was Journey into Mystery 108.

I purchased this in September at Wizard World Mid-Ohio from Greg Reese's Rare Comics. His grade was 7.5 vf-. He knocked off 10 bucks from a $80.00 sticker price.

It came back 7.0 fn/vf from CGC.

The next comic was a Boris Karloff Tales of Mystery 30 I purchased in early November from ZILLAf4 on Ebay. His grade was 9.0 vf/nm. It was graded by CGC at 9.2.

The next four were all purchased from Metropolis Comics in December of 2012. They were all Boris Karloff Tales of Mystery.

Issue 33 9.4 which CGC'ed at 9.2.

Issue 43 9.6 which CGC'ed at 9.6.

Issue 88 9.8 which CGC'ed at 9.6

Issue 89 9.6 which CGC'ed at 9.2.

I entered all in my sets but two issues had never been graded before so they will show up soon. This happens often with Boris Karloff. Not a lot of collectors for this title.

Not sure what CGC saw on issue 89 as I thought it would go 9.6 myself but I'm happy overall with the grades.
