They have paper covers, not glossy cover stock. The page count was lower than American issues, sometimes dramatically so - 24 pages versus 48 or 52 for the WDC&S issues (later 32 v 36 pages). Lots of Australian comics were in B&W inside, including early Disneys. But by the time of this one the Disneys were full colour - and the local editors would go to great lengths to insert a 'u' in 'color' or 'neighbor' in the text! stormflora 1 Link to comment
stormflora Posted November 24, 2023 Wow, that is a dramatic downgrade. Our Canadian variants had a similar downgrade, but not that drastic. Primarily just a reduction of page count, and overall pulp and ink quality. And to think that I entertained the thought of purchasing some Australian variants a week or so ago for the novelty. And at a premium, too. But I ultimately passed on that. Link to comment
