  1. I am surprised Metal Men was such a big seller. DC should bring them back. Looks like Superman rules as well with appearing in 8 of the top 10 best-selling books. Good showing by Archie too. Thanks for the list. @aardvark88
  2. Amazing what a talent Robert Kirkman is. First The Walking Dead and now Invincible. Smart business man as well. As he is owner of both ips.
  3. The westerns still selling back then, but apparently the super heroes surpassed them about that time. Big western fan, but eventually the super heroes over took them and no looking back.
  4. Well thought out PoV. Respect. Now let's get those bad girl comics onto the movie scene. Lady Death,Shi and Vampirella. I been waiting bro. I stocked up on their comic books. Lol
  5. This is a great show. Bad news this and The Boys show on Amazon might have destroyed Marvel and DC to mainstream. People like Invincible and The Boys. After watching both Amazon shows. Hard to take the other super heroes movies and shows seriously anymore. Crazy, but maybe true.
  6. Popeye going into public domain next year like Mickey Mouse this year. January 1, 2025.
  7. Tom Baker episodes now on Tubi app from the beginning. All free. The best Doctor.
  8. Lol. Check out Rob Liefeld podcast.Robservations. He been planning this for at at least 2 years. He smart business man no matter how his art is. Made a great deal with Marvel to make money with Deadpool and Cable. Todd McFarlane didn't have that deal with Venom. He said he is drawing Superman comics now and just waiting for public domain in a few years. Asked about Batman he said no. Only Superman.
  9. Ps. Note Rob Liefeld on his podcast says as soon as Superman goes into public domain he will release his Superman version he has been drawing for years. True . Lol.
  10. Sherlock Holmes and Dracula have survived and more popular than ever. The super heroes will be alright.
  11. Of course, Don Heck was no Kirby or Ditko, but Marvel also settled with the Don Heck estate as well. He was the co-creator of Iron Man, Hawkeye, and Black Widow so a shout-out to Don Heck. Stan Lee took the credit from Don Heck too. https://www.reuters.com/legal/marvel-settles-with-four-artists-superhero-copyright-fight-2023-06-09/ The filings said Marvel would drop its lawsuits against Larry Lieber and the estates of Don Heck, Gene Colan and Don Rico with prejudice, which means they cannot be refiled. A Disney spokesperson and an attorney for the artists said they had reached an "amicable resolution."
  12. Cool how they put all three of their Western heroes on one t-shirt. Shows their Western characters were still relevant.
  13. I think the Marvel movie hype might finally be dead. Only Dead Pool 3 is coming out from Marvel this year. I would expect prices on most comics even to be lower a year from now, except for maybe a few comic books. Those Marvel and DC movies fueled the growth of the comic book market over the last 20 years, and they both seemed to have fallen flat and stalled at the box office.
  14. Love the place Have a lot of relatives there who I haven't seen since 2020 do to restrictions.. crazy ride back as our plane and was struck twice by lightning. Scary. My original plan was driving , but my girlfriend and baby sister said take the air plane plan. Next time I driving and not listening to baby sister and girlfriend. They agree now. haha. Glad I here friend so I can post to you and Bosco. That was a hell ride Next time I driving to Montreal. Lol
  15. Yep and agree, that started it GOTG. The surprising success of that made them think every c or d lister would make bank and be successful.
  16. Tubi, Freevee and Pluto TV. Right now are the best. I could watch Godzilla movies and Three's Company reruns all day. Yes, they both have 24/7 channels on Pluto TV. Along with a Star Trek and Doctor Who channels. Nothing better than laughing at John Ritter's jokes and looking at Suzanne Summers legs . Hahaha
  17. Saw it over the weekend in of all places Montreal,Canada as I was visiting some relatives I haven't seen since the pandemic. I liked it, but there was only like less than 20 people in the crowd. I am really beginning to think we are in a superhero fatigue cycle now unless it's Spider-Man or Batman.
  18. To be fair Stamps are still a very popular collectible around the world. Just not in the USA for some reason.
  19. Prayers. He is one of the nicest CGC board members I have interacted with on here.
