  1. and Human Torch 16 reminds me of 18
  2. I like these Black Terror and Wonderman covers and the Princess Pantha.
  3. Sometimes the ERB books don't have a related cover. And sometimes they do...but there is such a variety to collect I bet you can't buy just one title.
  4. The first All Story priinting of Tarzan is probably expensive.
  5. I love those Argosy issues with ERB and Otis Kline stories. And those Amazing issues are...amazing.
  6. Speaking of group shots, this is my earliest group shot from 1964. I think the only comic I have left from that group is the Detective 85. Terry got the Human Torch and the Curious Book Store in East Lansing got the Batman 19. Don't know where the others went. It is probably interesting to note that I had mint editions of Spiderman 1, Hulk 1, JIM 83, TOS 39, TTA 35, Amazing Fantasy 15 and Fantastic Four 4 at the same time but didn't bother to put them in the picture.
  7. The covers of the first few issues of Scrooge contained figures that were smaller which allowed more action or perspective. I still have my original copy of that pulp paper covered giant. I enjoyed the story so much that it started my collection of Uncle Scrooge which was cheap back in the early sixties. I sold it in the seventies but repurchased in the eighties when prices were at their peak.
  8. I have that one too :cloud9:but not in good condition. However, the colors are still bright and I have managed to cover up the other defects with photoshop.
  9. Nice pics buddy! Nice group shot. Hermann and Lily Munster, Catwoman, Winnie the Pooh, Ed Begley, Mr. Banks and ...
  10. Great books man! When you upgrade, PM me! I have that story because its in that EXOTIC 3D BEAUTIES reprint but that's a poor substitute for that cover! I sure will.. I'd be happy to sell it to you... I have my eye on a nice VF- copy. if I can talk the seller down to a reasonable asking price this one is yours. (thumbs u My copy has a crease that you can't see in this scan. I like the second issue too.
  11. The above art is a recreation by Acerno by the way. It is even more impressive up close and highly affordable for those with limited funds and OCD.
  12. I was thinking more about original art than Sunday Pages. You and JB seem to have a few interesting items stached away.
  13. BZ, Don't remember if you had any of those original Alex Raymond pages. I think these are from King Comics but not sure.
  14. She is on the cover but I prefer this interior illustration.
  15. The answer to both questions is no. ...but the girl on the cover of Blue Beetle 49 has a BZ tattoo.
  16. we I picked up a few pulps in an auction recently. I think this cover by Paul is one of my favorites. Also found some nice text illustrations by Burroughs.
  17. That's the one. Nice story by Baker. I picked up a Cinderella Love in the lot but no Baker interior story so the Atlas book was a nice surprise.
  18. I picked up an Atlas Romance comic with this Baker story. I have seen it before but didn't have it in my collection.
  19. My wife is a fan of Woody's songs. I like them too but I am probably a bigger Arlo fan. Saw him perform at the Texas Opry house in Houston and in Valley Forge. I also have his autograph on his "Mooses Come Walking" book. He always told pretty good stories.
  20. Stuntman origin from issue one was reprinted in Black Cat 9 and Thrills of Tomorrow 19. Stuntman 1 was the earliest printing I think.
  21. Isn't that Rico's Jungle Girl? Perhaps a nice shot for AE would be a good idea since Roy is planning an article on him.
  22. Story is titled "House of the Seven Haunts" and by Moores, who also did Gasoline Alley. Many of the classics were redrawn but the dialogue was the same, such as the Robin Hood story in WDCS 10 and Silly Symphonies. Story ended with 111. I usually stop collecting WDCS when there are no Barks' stories. A later issue with the ducks in midget race cars was one of my favorite stories. bb
