  1. This cover always reminds me of the alien from Little Shop of Horrors (Rick Moranis movie) Th
  2. Thanks guys. All credit to my dad for buying these to read during his childhood. He had good taste! It's amazing they still look pretty decent because they were in his attic for decades, baking in the Texas heat, and not rebagged since the 1980s. Here are some more... The pen scribbling on FF 8 is absolutely tragic of course. Sorry if I'm posting too much right now, I'm not sure of the board etiquette.
  3. Is a staple tear really enough to bring it from a 7-8 to a 5? That's so sad...
  4. Cover is not detached at the bottom staple btw, it's just a tear but fully attached. Thanks for the grades guys.
  5. What do you think? Not cleaned, pressed, or professionally graded. Another rescue from my dad's attic, I can't believe how good it still looks. One of my all-time favorite covers. We are still learning about comics so I'd appreciate your thoughts.
  6. Hello! I am brand new to this forum and I'm excited to be learning about comics! I recently helped my dad inventory and scan his childhood comic collection. He grew up buying them to read, not collect, so they were not perfectly preserved at the time, but I think they still look pretty good. We have a lot of Silver Age comics, including this one. We are still learning about grading, so please let us know what you think! Note: Never pressed or cleaned Small tear on the right edge and the bottom edge of the front cover, and very small tear on the top edge over the M in "Comes..." If my pictures aren't good enough, please let me know and I can retake! So, what do you think? Should we get it professionally graded? Pressed & cleaned? I might be posting some more comics here later... We have many early FFs, a few ASMs, X Men Giant Size 1, and a lot of comics we haven't had the chance to inventory yet. Also some weird ones like Joker 1, Archie comics, Superboy and Supergirl... Who knows what's in these boxes honestly? Thanks for your help!
  7. Another gem from my dad's old Silver Age collection. Maybe I should get it pressed and graded?
  8. I just joined the forum so hello. This is one of my favorite covers ever. I don't know much about grading but I think it looks alright given that it was sitting in my dad's attic for 30+ years!
  9. Hi, this is my first post on the forum. My dad grew up collecting comics in NYC in the 70s ... I'm inventorying his collection and figuring out what to do with it (we share this account). He owns a LOT of Silver Age Marvel comics, and his favorites were FFs. I'm not sure about etiquette on the boards so I will just post a couple pics for now. Enjoy!
