  1. I think you guys are being a tad unfair on PGX I mean, I'm personally quite apt at grading comic books in my basement
  2. The REALITY is...comic book grading is ONLY "subjective" at the margins, and no where else (at least it should not be) This is of course because there ARE solid, and substantial, grading parameters that MUST be met, and adhered to, otherwise, what's the point? So, I do not accept for a infinitesimal moment, that grading is subjective across the board. If you believe that, you most assuredly cannot grade.
  3. Which is the utter stupidity of it all. Name one other product where the wrapping is more important than the goods? hey, to keep it local for you...Harrods wraps a mean gift
  4. And you've been here long enough to know that a thread ain't nothing unless it's had at least three attempted derailments. Actually, looking at this pic makes me want to change your use of the word "derailment" and use instead the (faux) word 'deNAILment'
  5. How someone can find this unattractive is beyond me Nobody said she was unattractive. Unattractive??? THAT (she) is worth a whole lot more than $12,250.00
  6. Good points, but I see it a bit different. To ME he is exacting his individualism by doing what ever he wants to. Ditko is obviously bitter, and feels cheated, and disrespected in many ways, so what does he do? He takes HIS fame and popularity, and uses it in the way HE sees fit, the individual. The fans, the industry, the genre, ect... is simply a vehicle to a means to an end to him, nothing personally rewarding, nor satisfactory. (again, not that i agree with this, but its just a view I have) As the 'individual' Steve Ditko, what does HE do? he takes work that he KNOWS is valued in millions, is adored by fans and peers, and that he's KEPT FOR YEARS (for the individuals needs) and now, he just...well, gives them away I mean, a bit insane, but I have MAD respect for ANYONE that has balls like that. Anyway, we could partake in an Ayn Rand dance on these boards for YEARS (thumbs u so i'll just leave it there.
  7. Read 'Atlas Shrugged' by Ayn Rand! You'll understand Ditko more than you could ever have imagined.
  8. These guys were part of that "Museum Edition" craze back in 2001-2003...right?
  9. I'll write it again, Conan RULZ....
  10. I have nothing to offer up to this post but utter agreement in spades! Yet, the comical thing is, MANY on these boards will call you a SHILL or TROLL because you DON'T offer up "personal info" or commiserate with others at CGC forum diners...
  11. Gene, with all due respect my man (I know you recently dropped big $$$ on that AM) but DUDE...that piece deserves a better frame
  12. I have a complete run, love the Barbarian. Some of the most well written tales ever scribed into comic books. They were always entertaining books, and Thomas; had for me, a genius way of taking me into the story itself, and off to adventure in these far lands abroad. Conan will always RULE!!!!!
