  1. I just received a bunch of slabs from CGC and almost all of them have these internal scuffs. I've never had this happen on any books I have sent to them the last couple of years. Is this a new thing people are experiencing? Is it the plastic sleeves that are scuffed or the inside of the holder? This is a defect as far as I'm concerned. You should be able to look at these books without seeing this type of stuff. Outer scratches can be buffed out but this internal stuff needs to be caught before they seal the slab.

Until they stop getting thousands of books per day they will just keep raising theirs prices to try to slow the garbage down.

If I was in charge it would be much higher.  Raise until you see a drop off in submissions.

John (me), Greggy, and all of you are to blame for CGC raising their rates.  Let's be clear!

You all want CGC to drop their rates?  Stop submitting so they can cut back on all expenses.

The entire hobby is to blame.  CGC is just cashing in.  QC will get better once you the customer vote with you wallet.

They know I wont stop submitting, so why would they keep the Fees the same?

Am I happy no.  I just lost $5k min today because of this.  Until I stop making thousands of dollars per year from CGC they know they can just keep raising rates.

Demand says CGC has the leverage to do this and what are you going to do about it? :violin:

    Oh aren't you a peach!

  3. The current turnaround time says "Now opening comic book packages delivered the week of December 13, 2021".

I have a set of 11 books delivered to them on 11/3/21 and a set of 25 books delivered to them on 12/3/21. Would you consider this minor delays or should I be worried they lost my books?

Update:  They just emailed me and said it could take up to 79 business days.  I'm trying super hard to stay calm about it at this point.  No apologies, no credit offers, no nothing.  Just complete shxt service.  By the time all is said and done, they might have this thing for about 14 months total, and that's if it isn't late this time, and that's IF it's not damaged again.  Whoever runs the customer service department needs to get booted out on his as$.

That's horrible. Anything like that should move right up the chain, no questions.

  5. I'm not complaining at all but a batch of ten modern comic books (no fast track) I sent for grading 5 weeks ago have been graded and are on their way back to me. I didn't think I would see these before next year. I'm pretty floored by this. Am I too cool for school? Am I better looking than I thought?

  6. I sent a box of comics for grading in August and I have USPS confirmation the books were delivered. When I type the tracking number in to confirm CGC has received the package I get the message, "Your package has either not been delivered or has not been scanned by our staff. Please check back in a couple of days." I know CGC at the moment is opening boxes of submissions received in July but don't they at least scan in the box when they get it to confirm with us that they received it?
