@CGC Mike I'm not sure if it counts as "notation", but can I get a variant name changed?
I'm looking for Mouse Guard: Legends of the Guard v3 #1 "Variant Cover" to be changed to Mouse Guard: Legends of the Guard v3 #1 "Pérez Variant Cover" to match the "Ramos Variant Cover" and "Muller Variant Cover". I let customer service know about this twice while my book was at CGC but no one seemed to get the memo.
It wouldn't be a huge deal, but since these books are in magazine cases which seem to only get two lines of artist info instead of three, the cover artist is almost always cut off as its on line 3.
Also, the standard cover for this issue does not note that it is a Wraparound cover, despite being a wraparound cover.
Thanks!

My oldest submission is finally home after an 18 month vacation. These new magazine cases are leaps and bounds better than the previous ones. They don’t flex at all, the improvements to the label area keep it from tipping back, and the top label is finally inside and not just a sticker! No QC issues I can see, now I can’t wait for the 4 books I still have at CGC.

Can anyone confirm dates that are coming back now since they opened up production again? Mine has been there since 1/18/22.
I've seen some coming back to some of the folks on the CGC Comics Fans Facebook group that were received in the January and February 2022 timeframe. CGC's stance seems to be that they are going in the order received, but there are also some folks with multiple submissions that only have the later ones back. CGC also seems to be telling multiple people (including me when I inquired about the 3 submissions I'm waiting on) that they have so many books right now they can't track down specific submissions...which would make it pretty hard to address them in the order received.

We started encapsulating magazines Friday. They are supposed be done in the order we received them.

Funny part was he was wondering about his other Magazine order that he submitted way before that with a # like 402???? customer service said that since they are working so hard to fix the backlog that things will be out of order. LOL
But they were supposed to be done in the order they were received!

I was told that magazines would be encapsulated in the order received. I'll wait until I can get a time frame for when we will be caught up, and updated turn around times listed on our website. Another question will delay an answer for the 2 questions I have in with upper management.
Understood. I appreciate you being a go between for those of us that have questions about our items that have been sitting at CGC for 18+ months. The lack of communication regarding this holder redesign and freeze on processing books has been pretty disheartening, so I think we all are thankful for you taking the time to bring our questions to the right folks.

@CGC Mike While you are already inquiring with your team about the plan to address what I’m guessing is a significant backlog, I was wondering if you could inquire about the plan for slabbing oversized comics that use the magazine case. I have a modern fast track submission I made 3 days prior to CGC announcing the new cases and the hold on production. Will submissions like this still be getting pushed through following modern TATs like they would have prior to the case redesign or is it a true first in, first out for all items, magazine or comic, using the new cases?

Unfortunately, I don’t have any news for you. I’ve also been watching for any sign of people getting new magazine slabs back.
If it makes you feel any better, I’m in the same boat as you. I have 7 oversized comics waiting for magazine slabs I subbed in 10/21, 7/22, and 12/22 all stuck in grading/encapsulation purgatory.

As far as the Mouse Guard comics go, I pack mine in Magazine sized bags and boards. If I'm sending into CGC, I cut the bag and board down to height (so it is square) and is a relatively snug fit. Unfortunately its not a common comic size, so DIY is the best option. Here is a window bag I made using the same method to bring to a show for a signing.

Bump for exposure.
I reached out to Rich Henn who said he will not be in attendance this year. I'm also searching for a facilitator for this show.
