  1. (thumbs u Don't let anyone kid you. Most have their own version of Iron Man/Sub-Mariner 1. Yours is a tough independent.
  2. Man, I love that book. Great job on this one too, Cal Charlie.
  3. Thank you so much to KDOGINOHIO for some fabulous 80s raw books that were very tightly graded, extremely well protected for shipping, and rapidly mailed out. Much appreciated Keith, as you helped take some books off my list I've wanted for a little while. Happy Holidays!
  4. Yeah, yeah. I know. "I bought them all from a board member."
  5. Nicely done, Michael. I was hoping one was going to be a Nexus 1 CGC 9.6 so we can finally have that "conversation." I working on it but it's turning out to be harder than I thought. Take your time.

  7. Shoot Nick, I wish I would have known! I bid you way up. I won the other 3. I really want to trust the seller, but I have a bad feeling that there is going to be problems once the issues arrive (though I'm keeping my fingers crossed). I kept asking the seller if they were positive that there was no wear to the corners or anywhere else and no spine stress at all, and they insisted that there was none, that they were perfect! So if they aren't at least 9,4/9.6 candidates I'm going to have to have a talk with them and paypal... Hopefully not though! Best of luck on yours too! Hi William. I did the same exact thing, so let me know and I'll do the same. He kept emailing me outside of eBay stating everything, but when I would bring it back into EBay Messaging, he wouldn't send the same clarifications. We'll see.

  9. Okay, how many of you were bidding against me with that entire Crow 1989 set that was on eBay? I got the book I wanted.
  10. Sadly I have to agree on this, never paid for his items that he purchased a couple of weeks ago and has not read the PM. A new member that looks to be fly by night... Sad that I really have to consider not selling to anyone unless they have a set amount of time on the boards or posts...yes it is going to happen...
  11. I don't know if your a hoarder or a just a huge fan William's definitely a fan. Most probably bought all those books to find the hidden gems that really fit the grade. And especially with those black covers, it is extremely difficult to find 9.6 or better grades.
  12. No worries, William. Enjoy your books, as they are definitely appreciated.
  13. Yeah, I still have the highest graded non SS copies of each issue except #1 and CP 15. I really appreciate the interest Chris, but if there is such a thing as comics in my collection that I would never sell, it's these. I have comics that are worth more, but there are none that I have (and continue to) put more time and love into. It's actually somewhat pathetic for such a small run of comics... Thank you though! Another #4 9.8 should pop up for sale eventually! Regards, William William, I totally respect that stance as there is investing in comics and then there is love of comics. This is one where it means more than money. And Chris is the same exact way about his books. Very interesting how O'Barr's story to overcome personal loss impacted fans so deeply. I'll take your lowly #3 though to complete one of two sets. Shhhhh! Don't tell anyone.
  14. Well, that is what this thread is for, so I guess he "showed" us.
  15. Between your Caliber Presents 1 CGC 9.8 and Crow 1 CGC 9.8, that would put you right at the top of the heap, Chris. Well deserved!
  16. And even with your single issues, you are still King of the Crow.
  17. Okay, this sounds like my favorite Crow lurker, William. King of the Crow Hoard! I'm gunning for you, William. Twas not me... And now you've easily got me beat when it comes to Crow hoarding! I sold that entire ebay lot, all my CGC dupes, and one other run of the 4 issue series.... I'm down to the essentials right now... I don't have two kids!

  19. Michael, where did you get those stats? No wonder why #3 is a bear to find. They were in the Comic Buyer's Guide Standard Catalog of Comic Books (4th edition) - the "other" price guide. As a price guide it's pretty useless, but it does have print run info that's not in the OSPG. Thanks for the fantastic details as I always wondered about the print runs.
  20. If you can get another #3 1st print, give me a heads up.
  21. If you can get another #3 1st print, give me a heads up.
  22. Don't know about the Caliber Presents #1, but the print runs for the first Crow series were as follows: #1 (10,000) #2 (7,000) #3 (5,000) #4 (12,000) It wouldn't surprise me if the CP #1 print run was 25k+ It is and always has been so much easier to find than the 1-4. I agree. There isn't a week or two where I don't see a Caliber Presents 1 listed on eBay. The others, off and on if you see them.
